Mace is the newest MCTiers gamemode and the most timing-dependent. A well-placed smash can end a fight instantly; a mistimed one leaves you open for the full cooldown.

What the gamemode tests

Testers watch how you set up a smash rather than how often you throw one. The skill is in creating the situation: forcing the opponent into a position where they cannot dodge, then committing at the right moment. Wind charges and elytra follow the official kit shown in the arena.

How to climb the Mace tier list

Stop throwing smashes on cooldown. The players in the top tiers hold the mace until the opponent has already committed to something else. Practise the setup more than the swing, and learn to survive the cooldown window after a miss — that window is where most lower-tier players lose their fights.
