Axe adds shield-breaking and heavier swing commitment to the sword fundamentals. Hits are slower and more punishing, so every swing you throw has to be worth it.

What the gamemode tests

Testers look at swing discipline. Because the axe swings slower than a sword, a missed hit leaves a longer window for the opponent to punish. Players who carry sword habits into axe tend to over-swing and get picked apart. Shield management and timing are the two things that separate tiers here.

How to climb the Axe tier list

Slow down. The instinct when you are losing is to swing more, and in axe that makes it worse. Learn to bait a shield, break it deliberately, and only commit when the opponent cannot answer. Most players gain a tier simply by throwing fewer, better-timed hits instead of trying to match the opponent’s pace.
